BYU got 23 points from Jimmer Fredette as they ran past Utah 72-59 on Saturday at Marriott Center.
BYU did not, however, defeat Utah against the spread, which closed at 20 at most sportsbooks.
BYU got 22 points from Charles Abouo and another 17 points from Jackson Emery. Jackson Emery contributed 5 assists, while Charles Abouo cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
Utah got 18 points from Will Clyburn in a losing cause and another 14 points from Chris Kupets. Josh Watkins contributed 4 assists for them, while David Foster had 8 rebounds.
BYU led at halftime, 31-30.
The rebound battle favored BYU as they grabbed 36 boards, while Utah only had 32.
