Miss Valley State cruised to victory on Monday, running Southern out of the gym and running up a 68-48 score at Harrison Complex.

Miss Valley State got 15 points from Falando Jones and another 14 points from Terrence Joyner. D'Angelo Jackson contributed 3 assists, while Orlando Smith cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.

Southern got 19 points from Quinton Doggett in a losing cause and another 8 points from Julius Ingram. Brandon White contributed 2 assists for them, while Quinton Doggett had 10 rebounds.

Miss Valley State led at halftime, 34-26.

Miss Valley State won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44-32.
