The battle between College of Charleston and Samford didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Samford was handed a 75-49 defeat on Monday at Carolina First Arena.
College of Charleston was an 18-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters.
College of Charleston got 24 points from Antwaine Wiggins and another 23 points from Andrew Goudelock. Andrew Goudelock contributed 5 assists, while Trent Wiedeman cleaned the glass with 13 rebounds.
Samford got 14 points from Jeffrey Merritt in a losing cause and another 8 points from Andy King. Gaby Bermudez contributed 3 assists for them, while Drew Windler had 4 rebounds.
College of Charleston led at halftime, 34-19.
College of Charleston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-33.
