Preseason NIT - Recap - George Washington Defeats Nevada 58-56
George Washington grabbed a 58-56 win over Nevada on Monday, behind a 14-point effort from Tony Taylor at Charles E. Smith Center.
George Washington did not, however, defeat Nevada against the spread, which closed at 8 at most sportsbooks.
Joseph Katuka had 12 points for George Washington and Aaron Ware chipped in with 11 points. Tony Taylor had 6 assists for them, while Joseph Katuka was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Nevada got 16 points from Dario Hunt in a losing cause and another 8 points from Malik Story. Deonte Burton contributed 7 assists for them, while Devonte Elliott had 14 rebounds.
Nevada won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 45-35.
