The battle between Buffalo and Houghton didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Houghton was handed a 79-47 defeat on Saturday at Alumni Arena.
Buffalo got 21 points from Zach Filzen and another 16 points from Corey Raley-Ross. Byron Mulkey contributed 5 assists, while Mitchell Watt cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Houghton got 15 points from Ryan Shay in a losing cause and another 12 points from Devin Paige. Michael Amico contributed 3 assists for them, while Ryan Shay had 7 rebounds.
Buffalo hit the break leading 43-22 before taking care of business in the second half.
Buffalo won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-23.
