Drexel Defeats Kent State 73-66 - Recap

Drexel grabbed a 73-66 win over Kent State on Friday, behind a 17-point effort from Samme Givens at John A. Daskalakis Center.

Drexel won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 5-point spread as favorites.

Drexel got 15 points from Chris Fouch and another 13 points from Gerald Colds. Gerald Colds contributed 3 assists, while Samme Givens cleaned the glass with 15 rebounds.

Kent State got a 17-point performance from Carlton Guyton, who was supported by 12 points from Michael Porrini. Rodriquez Sherman had 2 assists in a losing cause for Kent State, while Justin Greene grabbed 15 rebounds.

Drexel hit the break leading 42-30 before taking care of business in the second half.

The rebound battle favored Drexel as they grabbed 49 boards, while Kent State only had 39.
