The battle between Oklahoma and Coppin State didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Coppin State was handed a 92-65 defeat on Friday at Lloyd Noble Center.
Steven Pledger had 20 points for Oklahoma and Calvin Newell Jr. chipped in with 14 points. Cameron Clark had 4 assists for them, while Romero Osby was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 10 boards.
Coppin State got 22 points from Tony Gallo in a losing cause and another 13 points from Logan Wiens. Tony Gallo contributed 5 assists for them, while Antonio Williams had 9 rebounds.
Oklahoma led at halftime, 42-23.
The rebound battle favored Oklahoma as they grabbed 61 boards, while Coppin State only had 27.
