The battle between Texas and Nicholls State didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Nicholls State was handed a 93-40 defeat on Tuesday at Frank Erwin Center.
Texas got 23 points from J'Covan Brown and another 18 points from Jaylen Bond. Myck Kabongo contributed 8 assists, while Jaylen Bond cleaned the glass with 12 rebounds.
Nicholls State got a 9-point performance from Bryan Hammond, who was supported by 7 points from Trevon Lewis. Lachlan Prest had 2 assists in a losing cause for Nicholls State, while Sam McBeath grabbed 8 rebounds.
