The battle between Iowa and Central Arkansas didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Central Arkansas was handed a 105-64 defeat on Monday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Roy Devyn Marble had 19 points for Iowa and Aaron White chipped in with 17 points. Bryce Cartwright had 8 assists for them, while Melsahn Basabe was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.
Central Arkansas got 18 points from Dewan Clayborn in a losing cause and another 12 points from LaQuentin Miles. Mark Rutledge contributed 3 assists for them, while Jordan Harks had 15 rebounds.
Iowa hit the break leading 55-42 before taking care of business in the second half.
Iowa won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 53-38.
