The battle between NJIT and Lafayette didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Lafayette was handed a 78-58 defeat on Monday at Fleisher Center.
Chris Flores had 23 points for NJIT and Arjun Ohri chipped in with 19 points. P.J. Miller had 6 assists for them, while Chris Flores was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Lafayette got 14 points from Seth Hinrichs in a losing cause and another 11 points from Ryan Willen. Joey Ptasinski contributed 3 assists for them, while Seth Hinrichs had 5 rebounds.
NJIT led at halftime, 34-25.
The rebound battle favored NJIT as they grabbed 45 boards, while Lafayette only had 31.
