Eastern Illinois grabbed a 74-62 win over Houston Baptist on Saturday, behind a 14-point effort from Zavier Sanders at Sharp Gym.

Houston Baptist got a 13-point performance from Joe Latas, who was supported by 12 points from Marcus Davis. Jonathan Evans had 3 assists in a losing cause for Houston Baptist, while Anthony Hill grabbed 7 rebounds.

Eastern Illinois trailed at halftime, 30-26.

Eastern Illinois won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 40-30.
