George Mason grabbed a 72-60 win over Towson on Saturday, behind a 22-point effort from Sherrod Wright at Patriot Center.

George Mason won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 24-point spread.

George Mason got 9 points from Mike Morrison and another 9 points from Ryan Pearson. Corey Edwards contributed 5 assists, while Sherrod Wright cleaned the glass with 5 rebounds.

Towson got 19 points from Marcus Damas in a losing cause and another 14 points from Robert Nwankwo. Deon Jones contributed 4 assists for them, while Robert Nwankwo had 13 rebounds.

George Mason led at halftime, 44-27.

Towson had a 45-34 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
