College of Charleston was burned for 26 points by Lucas Troutman on Thursday as Elon picked up a 99-98 win at Alumni Gym.
Elon won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 4-point spread as underdogs.
Elon got 25 points from Jack Isenbarger and another 18 points from Drew Spradlin. Jack Isenbarger contributed 6 assists, while Brett Ervin cleaned the glass with 11 rebounds.
College of Charleston got 32 points from Andrew Lawrence in a losing cause and another 17 points from Trent Wiedeman. Andrew Lawrence contributed 8 assists for them, while Trent Wiedeman had 17 rebounds.
Elon hit the break leading 51-34 before taking care of business in the second half.
College of Charleston won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 45-43.
