Syracuse grabbed a 56-48 win over South Florida on Wednesday, behind a 15-point effort from Scoop Jardine at Carrier Dome.
Syracuse did not, however, defeat South Florida against the spread, which closed at 14 at most sportsbooks.

South Florida got 12 points from Anthony Collins in a losing cause and another 11 points from Toarlyn Fitzpatrick. Anthony Collins contributed 10 assists for them, while Augustus Gilchrist had 8 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Syracuse were victorious, as the score was 24-20 at the break.
South Florida won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 41-31.
