Montana earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 14.5-point spread.

Montana got 13 points from Will Cherry and another 11 points from Derek Selvig. Kareem Jamar contributed 5 assists, while Kareem Jamar cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.

Montana State got 11 points from Jeff Budinich in a losing cause and another 9 points from Rod Singleton. Mohammed Fall contributed 1 assists for them, while Mohammed Fall had 7 rebounds.

Montana won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 34-29.
