Memphis Defeats Tulsa 78-66 - Recap

Tulsa was victimized by Will Barton for 30 points as Memphis defeated them 78-66 in NCAA action on Saturday.

Memphis won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3.5-point spread as favorites.

Joe Jackson had 16 points for Memphis and Wesley Witherspoon chipped in with 13 points. Chris Crawford had 7 assists for them, while Will Barton was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 9 boards.

Tulsa got 18 points from Jordan Clarkson in a losing cause and another 13 points from Steven Idlet. Eric McClellan contributed 4 assists for them, while Steven Idlet had 6 rebounds.

Memphis hit the break leading 37-34 before taking care of business in the second half.

The rebound battle favored Memphis as they grabbed 32 boards, while Tulsa only had 29.
