The battle between Columbia and La Sierra didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as La Sierra was handed a 78-56 defeat on Sunday at Gersten Pavilion.
Columbia got 16 points from Meiko Lyles and another 14 points from Mark Cisco. Brian Barbour contributed 5 assists, while Blaise Staab cleaned the glass with 10 rebounds.
La Sierra got 13 points from Kenneth Penn in a losing cause and another 12 points from Daveon Woods. Bennett Shaw contributed 2 assists for them, while Kenneth Penn had 8 rebounds.
Columbia led at halftime, 41-19.
The rebound battle favored Columbia as they grabbed 46 boards, while La Sierra only had 41.
