Miss Valley State got 16 points from Davon Usher in a losing cause and another 15 points from Blake Ralling. Darius Tomlin contributed 3 assists for them, while Matt Smith had 6 rebounds.
LSU hit the break leading 33-23 before taking care of business in the second half.
The rebound battle favored LSU as they grabbed 44 boards, while Miss Valley State only had 29.
