Kansas Defeats Oregon State 84-78 - Recap

Ben McLemore scored 21 points leading Kansas to an 84-78 victory over Oregon State at Sprint Center on Friday.

Kansas won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the 12.5-point spread.

Kansas got 20 points from Travis Releford and another 17 points from Jeff Withey. Elijah Johnson contributed 9 assists, while Travis Releford cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.

Oregon State got a 25-point performance from Ahmad Starks, who was supported by 17 points from Roberto Nelson. Joe Burton had 4 assists in a losing cause for Oregon State, while Eric Moreland grabbed 16 rebounds.

Kansas led at halftime, 42-39.

Kansas won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-32.
