UNC Asheville Defeats Northeastern 79-73 - Recap

UNC Asheville grabbed a 79-73 win over Northeastern on Tuesday, behind a 21-point effort from Jeremy Atkinson at Matthews Arena.

UNC Asheville got 16 points from Jon Nwannunu and another 15 points from Keith Hornsby. Jeremy Atkinson contributed 4 assists, while Jeremy Atkinson cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.

Northeastern got a 22-point performance from Joel Smith, who was supported by 19 points from Jonathan Lee. Jonathan Lee had 5 assists in a losing cause for Northeastern, while Reggie Spencer grabbed 8 rebounds.

UNC Asheville led at halftime, 31-29.

Northeastern won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 35-33.
