The battle between Pittsburgh and Georgetown didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Georgetown was handed a 73-45 defeat on Tuesday at Verizon Center.

Pittsburgh won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 1-point spread as underdogs.

Pittsburgh got 15 points from Talib Zanna and another 11 points from Tray Woodall. Tray Woodall contributed 7 assists, while Lamar Patterson cleaned the glass with 7 rebounds.

Georgetown got a 9-point performance from Otto Porter Jr., who was supported by 7 points from Nate Lubick. Mikael Hopkins had 2 assists in a losing cause for Georgetown, while Nate Lubick grabbed 7 rebounds.

Pittsburgh led at halftime, 37-22.

The rebound battle favored Pittsburgh as they grabbed 30 boards, while Georgetown only had 23.
