American cruised to victory on Wednesday, running Navy out of the gym and running up a 72-49 score at Bender Arena.
John Schoof had 27 points for American and Stephen Lumpkins chipped in with 17 points. Blake Jolivette had 6 assists for them, while Tony Wroblicky was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 11 boards.
Navy got 11 points from Kendall Knorr in a losing cause and another 7 points from Worth Smith. Tilman Dunbar contributed 8 assists for them, while Worth Smith had 5 rebounds.
American hit the break leading 33-23 before taking care of business in the second half.
American won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 44-29.
