The battle between Cal Poly and Hawaii didnt turn out to be much of a battle at all as Hawaii was handed an 88-59 defeat on Thursday at Mott Gymnasium.
Cal Poly was the ATS victor, as they covered the 6.5-point spread as a favorite.
Cal Poly got 19 points from Chris Eversley and another 17 points from Brian Bennett. Drake U'u contributed 8 assists, while Brian Bennett cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
Hawaii got 14 points from Isaac Fotu in a losing cause and another 14 points from Christian Standhardinger. Manroop Clair contributed 4 assists for them, while Isaac Fotu had 5 rebounds.
Cal Poly hit the break leading 38-26 before taking care of business in the second half.
Cal Poly won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 38-21.
