Jeremie Mitchell scored 17 points leading McNeese State to a 69-62 victory over Lamar at Montagne Center on Saturday.

McNeese State got 11 points from Desharick Guidry and another 10 points from Dontae Cannon. Dontae Cannon contributed 5 assists, while Craig McFerrin cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.

Lamar got 18 points from Rhon Mitchell in a losing cause and another 14 points from Donley Minor. Donley Minor contributed 4 assists for them, while Nikko Acosta had 11 rebounds.

McNeese State led at halftime, 34-26.
