Asjha Jones netted a game-high 28 points in leading the Connecticut Sun to a 83-75 victory over the Sacramento Monarchs Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Connecticut failed to cover the 8-point spread, but the combined 158 points sailed OVER the posted total of 143.5.
Jones grabbed 10 rebounds to complete a double-double for the Sun, and Sandrine Gruda collected 12 points with eight rebounds in the win.
Nicole Powell had 18 points and hauled down five boards for the 3-14 Monarchs.
