Cappie Poindexter scored a game-high 31 points Sunday and the New York Liberty edged the Connecticut Sun 88-87 in overtime.

The Liberty were a 7-point favorite in the game, but were unable to cover the spread. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (154).

Nicole Powell added 14 points for New York and Leilani Mitchell deposited 13 points.

Tina Charles led Connecticut with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Renee Montgomery had 17 points.
