It sure wasn't going to be a low-scoring affair and Phoenix made sure they came out on the winning end on Wednesday, grabbing a 112-105 victory over the Lynx at Target Center.

The Mercury were a 6.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 182.5.

Phoenix got 27 points from Diana Taurasi and another 24 points from DeWanna Bonner. Diana Taurasi contributed 8 assists, while Candice Dupree cleaned the glass with 8 rebounds.

Minnesota got 22 points from Seimone Augustus in a losing cause and another 19 points from Lindsay Whalen. Lindsay Whalen contributed 6 assists for the Lynx, while Rebekkah Brunson had 16 rebounds.

Phoenix trailed at halftime, 49-48.

The rebound battle favored Minnesota as they grabbed 39 boards, while Phoenix only had 32.

Phoenix looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Mystics. The Lynx will aim to get back on the winning track at Indiana.
