Shock advance with OT win
The Detroit Shock came away with a thrilling 71-70 victory over the New York Liberty in a deciding Game 3 Tuesday night, and won their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.
Detroit failed to cover the spread at The Palace of Auburn Hills, while the combined 141 points were UNDER the posted total of 146.
Deanna Nolan led the Shock with a game-high 22 points from 10-for-26 shooting, and Cheryl Ford netted 17 points with 10 boards for a double-double in the win.
Cathrine Kraayeveld shot 6-for-12 from the field and scored 16 points for the Liberty, and Tiffany Jackson had 14 points off the bench.
