Shock rally past Lynx in OT
The Detroit Shock tied the game late and pulled out a hard-fought 98-93 win over the Minnesota Lynx in overtime Friday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Detroit failed to cover the 7.5-point spread, but the 192 points sailed OVER the posted total of 157.
Deanna Nolan scored a game-high 44 points to spark the Shock. Plenette Pierson chipped in with 15 in the win.
Seimone Augustus led the Lynx with 26 points from 9-for-19 shooting from the field, and Charde Houston added 16 off the bench.
