Sun draw first blood
The Connecticut Sun won a thrilling playoff-opener on Thursday, as they got past the Indiana Fever 93-88 in triple OT at Mohegan Sun Arena.
Connecticut managed to cover the 4.5-point spread, and the combined 181 points sailed OVER the posted total of 143.
Nykesha Sales was 6-for-8 from the field and tossed in a team-high 25 points, while Asjha Jones chipped in with 20 points in the win.
Anna DaForge scored a game-high 31 points from 12-for-22 shooting for the Fever. Tamika Whitmore added 24 in the Game 1 loss.
