The Sparks were a 7-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 166.5.
Los Angeles got 18 points from Nneka Ogwumike and another 10 points from Jantel Lavender. Candace Parker contributed 8 assists, while Candace Parker cleaned the glass with 16 rebounds.
The Sun got a 19-point performance from Tina Charles, who was supported by 16 points from Kara Lawson. Kara Lawson had 4 assists in a losing cause for Connecticut, while Tina Charles grabbed 13 rebounds.
First-half bettors who backed Connecticut were victorious, as the score was 45-40 at the break.
Los Angeles won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 47-39.
Next game, Los Angeles takes its act on the road to face Atlanta looking for another win. For Connecticut, they head home to face New York.
