Lindsay Whalen was good for 22 points on Friday night as the Connecticut Sun rolled to a 76-61 road win over the Washington Mystics in Game 1 of their best-of-three, conference semi-final series.

The Sun had been pegged by the oddsmakers as 3.5-point road favorites in this contest, and managed to cover that spread. The combined score fell UNDER the game's posted total (156).

Katie Douglas added 17 points for Connecticut in the win, while Taj McWilliams-Franklin picked up 10 points and 14 rebounds.

DeLisha Milton-Jones scored a team-high 15 points in the loss for Washington, who must now sweep two games in Connecticut to advance to the next round of the playoffs.
