Monarchs upset Mystics

The Sacramento Monarchs came back in the fourth quarter to earn a 79-76 upset victory over the Washington Mystics at the Verizon Center Wednesday night.

Sacramento won the game as a 3-point underdog, and the 155 points sailed OVER the posted total of 142.5.

Nicole Powell scored a game-high 28 points to lead the way, and Kara Lawson added 22 for the Monarchs.

Taj McWilliams-Franklin had 23 points and shot 10-for-11 from the field in the loss.
