Shock dominate Mystics

The Detroit Shock scored 33 points in the first quarter and never looked back as they crushed the Washington Mystics 99-62 at the Verizon Center Friday night.

Detroit easily covered the 4-point spread, and the 161 points sailed OVER the posted total of 143.

Deanna Nolan led the way with a game-high 26 points for the Shock, while four others reached double figures in scoring.

Taj McWilliams-Franklin tossed in 13 points in a losing effort for the Mystics.
