Rest does Monarchs good

After an exhausting schedule, the three-day rest did the Sacramento Monarchs good as they easily defeated the New York Liberty 79-58 Thursday night.

Sacramento came into the game as a 4-point favorite on the road and easily covered the spread. The final score fell UNDER the posted total (140.5).

Erin Buescher scored a game-high 19 points, five rebounds and four assists, while shooting 8-for-10 from the field in the win.

Sherill Baker put up 11 points and five rebounds, while shooting 3-for-5 from the field.
