Buffaloes top Rams on field goal
Mason Crosby’s field goal at the end of the game Saturday gave the Colorado Buffaloes a slim 31-28 win over the Colorado State Rams.
The Buffaloes, however, did not manage to cover the 3-point spread posted by oddsmakers for this contest. The combined score went OVER the game’s posted total (50).
Buffaloes QB Joel Klatt went 23-of-34 for 283 yards and an interception in the win. Hugh Charles rushed for two Colorado touchdowns, and Lawrence Vickers ran into the end zone once.
Justin Holland was good on 28-of-43 pass attempts for 290 yards for Colorado State. Holland threw TD strikes to David Anderson, Matt Bartz, and Kory Sperry, but was picked off four times. Jimmy Green ran for Colorado State’s other score in the loss.
