The battle between the Cowboys and Rebels didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as UNLV was handed a 41-14 defeat on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium.
Wyoming was the ATS victor, as they covered the 10.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 55.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Brett Smith completed 10 of 19 pass attempts for 96 yards for the Cowboys in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Dionza Bradford rushed for 104 yards for UNLV, while Bradley Randle added 35 yards. Sean Reilly threw for 79 yards for the Rebels, while receivers Phillip Payne and Michael Johnson had 32 and 23 yards respectively.
Wyoming outgained UNLV 355-258 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 19-12 by the Cowboys.
Wyoming lost the time of possession battle 32:19/27:41, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Wyoming takes its act on the road to face San Diego State looking for another win. For UNLV, they head home to face Colorado State.
