Daryll Clark opened the season by throwing for three touchdowns as the Penn State Nittany Lions beat the Akron Zips 31-7 on Saturday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions failed to cover the 29-point spread, while the final score played UNDER the day's posted total of 57.
Clark threw for 353 yards on 28-39 attempts and had one interception. Evan Royster ran for 60 yards and have one TD.
Chris Jacquemain threw for 161 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Zips.
