Colorado vs California Wrap - California Wins 52-7
The battle between the Golden Bears and Buffaloes didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Colorado was handed a 52-7 defeat on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
The Golden Bears were a 10-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 50.5.
Kevin Riley completed 15 of 24 pass attempts for 197 yards for the Golden Bears in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Rodney Stewart rushed for 78 yards for Colorado, while Travon Patterson added 9 yards. Tyler Hansen threw for 166 yards for the Buffaloes, while receivers Ryan Deehan and Toney Clemons had 51 and 36 yards respectively.
Colorado was outgained by California 356-239 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 18-17 by the Golden Bears.
California lost the time of possession battle 32:15/27:45, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, California takes its act on the road to face Nevada looking for another win. For Colorado, they head home to face Hawaii.
