Tyrod Taylor threw for 268 yards and a career-high three touchdowns, and the Virginia Tech Hokies built an early 24-point lead before coasting to a 36-9 victory over the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.
The Hokies covered the 20-point spread, while the final score played UNDER the day's posted total of 47.
Freshman Ryan Williams ran for 126 yards and scored his 12th touchdown, a single-season record for a Virginia Tech freshman. It was his seventh 100-yard game.
Jamarr Robinson, starting in place of injured Chris Turner, ran for 129 yards on 24 carries and completed 12-of-32 passes for 104 yards.
