Late surge powers Tulsa to victory
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane scored the final 14 points of the game to drop the UTEP Miners 30-20 at Skelley Stadium on Friday.
Tulsa did not cover the 14.5-point spread at home, and the 50 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 54.5.
Paul Smith threw for 176 yards, one touchdown, and one interception on 16-for-23 passing, while Courtney Tennial had 23 carries for 82 yards and a score for the Golden Hurricane.
Jordan Palmer was 21-for-37 for 252 yards, one score, and one pick, and Johnnie Higgins Jr. had a huge game, catching ten passes for 152 yards and a major for the Miners.
