Young runs over Huskies
Albert Young rushed 25 times for 123 yards and a score as the Iowa Hawkeyes downed the Northern Illinois Huskies 24-14 at Kinnick Stadium on Saturday.
The Hawkeyes could not cover the 16.5-point spread at home, and the 38 points scored were UNDER the posted total of 47.
Jake Christensen, filling in for the injured Drew Tate, was 19-for-30 for 253 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, and Scott Chandler had five catches for 63 yards and a major for the Hawkeyes.
Phil Horvath endured a torrid day, going 14-for-29 for 105 yards, one touchdown, and two picks, while Garrett Wolfe ran for 84 yards and a major on 23 carries for the Huskies.
