Huskies have scare, nip feisty Spartans
After being heavily favored, the Washington Huskies had to dig deep to hold on to a 35-29 win over San Jose State at Husky Satdium on Saturday.
The Huskies did not cover the 20.5-point spread at home, and the 64 points scored were OVER the posted total of 50.
Isaiah Stanbeck led the Huskies with 169 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception on by going 16-of-25. Louis Rankin had 145 yards rushing on ten carries and two scores for the Huskies.
Adam Tafralis was 28-of-35 for 326 yards and three touchdowns in a losing cause, while James Jones had nine catches for 132 and three scores for the Spartans.
