The Kent State Golden Flashes pulled off a 23-14 upset win over the Iowa State Cyclones in their season opener on Thursday night.

Kent State won the game as a 4-point underdog, and the combined 37 points were UNDER the posted total of 46.

Julian Edelman was good on 17-of-26 attempts for 162 yards with one passing and one rushing TD in the win for Kent State, while tossing two interceptions.

Jamicah Bass carried the ball 22 times for 133 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort for the Cyclones.
