The Nevada Wolf Pack had to sweat it out in overtime before coming away from the Hawaii Bowl with a 49-48 win over the UCF Golden Knights.
Nevada failed to cash in as a 4-point favorite, and the final score went soaring OVER the posted total (64.5).
In what proved to be an exciting, back-and-forth contest, UCF had to score 10 points in the last two minutes to send the game into OT. But after Nevada went up 49-42 on their opening possession, UCF replied with a touchdown, only to watch kicker Matt Prater miss the extra point.
Nevada's rushing game led the way at Aloha Stadium, racking up 371 yards of offense and finding the end zone six times. UCF got three majors apiece from running back Kevin Smith and receiver Brandon Marshall.
