Pirates win Hawaii Bowl
Chris Johnson rushed for 224 yards on 28 carries with a touchdown Sunday, as the East Carolina Pirates defeated the Boise State Broncos 41-38 in the Hawaii Bowl.
The Pirates were an 11.5-point underdog in the game. The combined score went OVER the posted over/under total (66.5).
Patrick Pinkney completed 12-of-19 passes for 118 yards with a touchdown for East Carolina, while Dominique Lindsay had a pair of rushing touchdowns.
Taylor Tharp completed 30-of-44 passes for 265 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for Boise State, while Jeremy Avery caught four passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.
