Hawaii was outgained by Nevada 575-378 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 30-20 by the Wolf Pack.
Nevada lost the time of possession battle 31:57/28:03, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Nevada heads into a Week 5 battle against Texas State. Hawaii, meanwhile, will have their next action against BYU.
