Thundering Herd Fall 63-28 Against Houston - Game Recap
Case Keenum sliced and diced the Thundering Herd defense for 376 yards as Houston handed Marshall a 63-28 defeat on Saturday at John O`Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium.
Houston was the ATS victor, as they covered the 24-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 62.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Charles Sims rushed for 75 yards, while Michael Hayes added 20 yards in the win. Patrick Edwards and Tyron Carrier added 109 and 97 receiving yards respectively.
A.J. Graham rushed for 74 yards for Marshall, while Tron Martinez added 45 yards. A.J. Graham threw for 257 yards for the Thundering Herd, while receivers Troy Evans and Antavious Wilson had 86 and 79 yards respectively.
Marshall lost the offensive yardage battle to Houston 621-506 yards in Saturday's game. Marshall had more first downs as that total ended up 28-25.
Houston lost the time of possession battle 42:15/17:45, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
