Buckeyes storm back to defeat Wolverines
Antonio Pittman scored on a 3-yards run with just 24 seconds left in the game to lift the No. 9 Ohio State Buckeyes to their sixth straight win and a 25-21 win over the No. 17 Michigan Wolverines on Saturday.
With the victory, the Buckeyes improved to 9-2 on the year and clinched a share of the Big East title.
The Buckeyes were listed as 3.5-point favorites on the road and were just able to cover the spread. The game’s combined 46 points went OVER the posted total (44.5).
Troy Smith completed 27-of-37 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown. Smith also rushed for a TD in the victory. Santonio Holmes made six catches for 71 yards and a touchdown for the Buckeyes.
Chad Henne threw for 218 yards and a touchdown for Michigan, and Kevin Grady rushed for a TD in the loss.
