Denard Robinson rushed for 108 yards, while Stephen Hopkins added 10 yards in the win. Junior Hemingway and Jeremy Gallon added 165 and 78 receiving yards respectively.
Cierre Wood rushed for 134 yards for Notre Dame, while Jonas Gray added 66 yards. Tommy Rees threw for 315 yards for the Fighting Irish, while receivers Michael Floyd and Theo Riddick had 159 and 62 yards respectively.
Notre Dame outgained Michigan 513-452 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 28-16 by the Fighting Irish.
